Accompanying each of these original pieces of artwork you will find the suggestion of a simple breath prayer and corresponding passage of scripture through which you are invited to meditate on the wonder of his loving presence with you by the Spirit.

‘morning by morning   …   you wait for me here’

“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!  For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.”           (Ps. 95:6-7)

‘you lead me in peace   …   you lead me in joy’

“For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”  (Isaiah 55: 12)

‘shining in darkness   …   you light the way’

‘Holy Spirit   …   fall on me’

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”  Galatians 5: 22,23

‘You are worthy   …   of our trust’

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.  Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.”  Isaiah 26: 3,4

‘Light of the world   …   shine on me’

“For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.  For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”  2 Corinthians 4: 5,6

‘Your word, O God   …   will never fail’

‘deep calls to deep   …   hear my prayer, O God’

‘You, O Lord    …   are my strength and shield.’

‘by still waters  …   you will lead’

“He makes me lie down in green pastures.  He leads me beside still waters.” (Ps. 23: 2)

‘You are with me   …   all through the night’
